So this could totally be nothing... but I noticed something with Callum's intro?

Callum has this odd mark on his face. Starts on his jawline as a thick mark, and even cracks above his eye.

I thought it might just be rock texture or something but Viren doesn't have this mark. Also it looks way too deliberate??

Is Callum gonna get a scar? Is this a symbolic scar? I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this!!

okay melancholy is definitely more my style! look at the play on these sharp angles?? I'm no professional lol but whoever was in charge of the creative direction here clearly had something in mind with the line work in each frame like it's just so visually satisfying to look at

and the styling here is super cool as well, we've got a blend of tethered shirts and ripped jeans that contrast w the white soft, clear fabrics. All the clothing is super damaged and torn. It reminds me of some sort of post apocalyptic bunker in a ya dystopian fantasy novel and I love ittttt

Since rayla was able to open the gates to ethari's workshop, it proves that ghosts can interact with the physical world of the village. So is there like random stuff floating around silvergrove that the ghosts are holding? Is this considered common in silver Grove?

Like a bottle of moonberry surprise will just randomly start floating and be violently thrown at a tree and shatter and the elves will be like,"Oh that's just Gary, don't mind him, he's still salty about being ghosted."

In TXT lore, we've seen Yeonjun’s death in two visions, during the Eternally MV/short film. I'm not completely caught up on The Star Seekers yet though, so there could be more. I could go into it more, but if you're interested in catching up on the storyline, there are a lot of great videos that explain everything that are really fun to watch!

TXT Sugar Rush Ride mv theories!

Why is there a train in the ocean when TXT wakes up on the beach (and why are they waking up on the beach at all?) This scene could take place after Loser Lover. They'd tried to escape their painful lives through death, but magic, probably from the odd-eyed cat, prevented that. Why? They were desperate to escape, and the cat seems to feed off of their desperation, and twist everything they ask for into something much worse. Instead of dying, they end up in the ocean in a train thing (which we know is magical from the Act: Lovesick trailer) instead of the truck they started out in. (These guys really have a rep for killing vehicles, huh.)

They shipwreck onto the beach and fall into a dreamlike state. Raindrops fall from the sky, but it's mostly sunny out. The water here represents clarity. They notice it just enough to gain consciousness, but it's forgotten as they enjoy the magic island.

Huening finds a lizard, which changes colors. This can represent Huening's two faced nature. He looks sweet and innocent, but really he knows more than any of them. It's all a disguise, and the purple color that we also see in Yeonjun's blood in Eternally isn't encouraging.

Meanwhile, Soobin looks into a puddle, finding his blurry reflection. Water can represent purity and rebirth, but it's also a symbol of duality as it can end life as easily as it can save it. This shows the blurred lines between illusion and reality. Soobin and Yeonjun are both pulled towards the illusions by the flowers, and Yeonjun is the first to completely break away from reality. We see the hairs on Taehyun's arm raise, because he knows something is up. In Cat and Dog as well as Run Away, we see Taehyun alert, analyzing the situation more than the others, and his magical eye in Nap of a Star confirms that he has an understanding of the magic.

("Hyung, are you ok?"/"I'm fine, why?"/Taehyun shivered when he saw the look in Yeonjun's eye. Crazy, drunk. And ice blue. He was anything but fine. They needed to get out of here.)

Taehyun runs, trying to find an escape. Where the flowers tempt Yeonjun and Soobin, it's the butterflies that get to Beomgyu. But he's been brainwashed before (the part in Eternally where he's watching everything through his phone screen makes me think he was being mind controlled, since when we're looking through a camera, we see everything through a different lense.) He knows the feeling, and he doesn't want to repeat it, so he runs from the butterflies, but they're persistent. While Yeonjun and Soobin are seeking the things that tempt them, Beomgyu is trying to escape his. It doesn't work, though, as he's chased into a cave, which reminds me of his set in Nap of a Star. Back then, they all felt like monsters, and the harder he tries to take control, the closer he is to being back there.

('No. This can't be happening again.' Beomgyu's heart pounded out of his chest as he shuffled backwards. He couldn't stand, could barely move. The butterflies were everywhere, and they weren't leaving. There was no escape. They were going to get him. Breathing heavily with fear, he continued shuffling back, feeling himself come unglued as terror ripped across his chest.)

In his search for escape, Taehyun finds himself flying. It's a trick or the magic, attempting to get him lost in the dream. It works for a moment, his eyes taking on a light blue that seems to represent the illusion.

('Let go,' the winds whispered, caressing Taehyun in their warm hold. He'd never felt so light. It was like nothing in the world mattered. Just him and the sky. He knew this should be wrong. He knew better than anyone that this island was tricking them all. But it was so, so sweet. And he was so, so tired. It would be so easy to surrender. High above the island, Taehyun closed his eyes, just for a moment.)

Rather than running from the temptation, Soobin is willingly going towards the waterfall, though he's not as far gone as Yeonjun. We see Beomgyu reaching upward, trying to escape the cave. Soobin puts his own hand in the water, giving in to the temptation. Again we see Beomgyu reaching, this time downward, as if trying to save somebody else rather than asking for salvation. Beomgyu is clinging to sanity, trying to escape and save Soobin, who's ready to give in. It doesn't work, though. Soobin lays facedown in the water. Beomgyu gives up. All five are now asleep, stuck in the dreamworld.

It's Taehyun who regains consciousness first, with the threat of danger caused by the approaching dragon. While the others spiral into dreams and insanity, Taehyun touches down again, regaining his senses and going to rescue them.

It's Taehyun who leads the boys down the beach once more, towards the boat. But Kai stops in his tracks, hesitant to leave. Kai hasn't done much throughout the video, seeming to be at peace, and his eyes weren't blue like the others stuck in the illusion. Why? Huening wasn't stuck in the illusion, and he wasn't fighting it, either. He was a part of the illusion, which makes sense considering how he seemed to know about the girl in the Japanese version of Good Boy Gone Bad. He knows more than the others, and he's probably in some sort of partnership with the forces working against the boys.

The entire idea of this song is reverse psychology, good things turning out to be bad and bad things turning out to be good, so I don't believe Kai is really against them, but a part of him is surely behind the illusions. He could even be trying to protect them through the dreams, like how he brings them together in Nap of a Star. Even the dragon, something terrible and dangerous, proved to be a benefit when it woke Taehyun up. The lines of good and bad are twisted and blurred. Anything taken to the extreme can become an evil, but bad things can also serve good purposes. The theme, like in many other TXT videos (Crown, Angel or Devil) is balance. Balance between light and dark, illusion and reality.

loving taehyun is like doing tiktok dances and trends together, with fans swooning at the loving glances taehyun gives you.

when you first suggested the idea to taehyun, he was over the moon. doing tiktok trends with his s/o and getting the chance to post them? he was pumped!

so that’s how the two of you ended up on the infamous musicbank stairs, filming a new, random tiktok that, when taehyun posted, he captioned “dancing with my star 💖”. the moas who saw that lost their minds. was this a new celebrity crush or was it something more?

fans were delighted to see their idol doing promotional dance collabs with taehyun. what made it even better was seeing taehyun’s wide grin while he was dancing. 

theory makers were churning out videos and analysing the interactions where you and taehyun would interact, whether it be said tiktok videos or at music awards or in variety shows. 

what made taehyun’s whole year was when you suggested doing his favourite girl group’s newest dance. despite having to try multiple times and staying behind to learn the dance, you put in the effort to make sure you had it down pat, just to accompany taehyun with the dance.

when taehyun posted the video, eagle-eyed fans noticed how he looked at you was different from how he looked at other idols he collaborated with. sure, he looked at jungwon with so much love and pride, but the look he reserved for you was different.

he looked at you like you were his whole universe, like every movement you made would always be perfect. his gazes on you lingered like you were an art piece he wanted to remember forever.

with the number of videos flooding txt’s tiktok page, fans had begun to speculate and accept that maybe the two of you were dating, with moa more than happy to accept that you had stolen the heart of mr “cold as antarctica”.

Thoughts on the teaser:

So by this I do feel like we will get a rayllum solo mission like in s3, which will possibly become the catalyst for their rekindling. But rayllum aside, what if this is the star nexus? And is it just me or does the two things on both side look like aaravos's cocoons? I think the left one can possibly be a portal, I'm pretty sure the right one is a cocoon with the web like pattern... What could this be about?

I'm fairly certain this place and the above place are different. Here it's like am icy tundra and the above one doesn't look very cold, infact you can see clouds on the window so the above one might be very high up, like mountain or sum. So I think rayllum will be traveling to two different locations. I do wonder why the sky wing elves have their eyes tied and what the star symbol on their jacket represents. I'll talk more about this specific part in a separate post.

let’s talk about the kiwi!!

(an info-dump about one of the weirdest, most scientifically interesting birds we know of today!)

so, we’ve all heard about ratites, right?

well, maybe you don’t know them by name, but you’ve most certainly either heard about them or seen them at some point.

some commonly known members of the ratite group are species like ostriches, emus, and cassowaries— as shown below:

ratites are all flightless birds within the infraclass palaeognathae— the infraclass that none other than the (now extinct) moa and elephant bird belong to!

now, these birds all share very similar characteristics; they’re large, long-necked, and long-legged with big clawed feet. all of these birds are also diurnal— which means they’re primarily active during the day time, just like us!

however, there is one species in this infraclass that is not quite like the others..

the kiwi.

not only are kiwi significantly smaller than their fellow ratites, but they also happen to be nocturnal.

and despite being small, their eggs are incredibly large, taking up to around 20% of the kiwi’s body weight, which has caused a lot of rigorous debate between scientists on exactly why.

one outdated theory suggested that perhaps the kiwi had shrunk over time from previously being very large like its ratite relatives, while its egg remained big…. but this has been debunked in recent years.

the current consensus, while still a theory, is that the egg size has to do more with precocity than anything else;

kiwis are born precocial, which makes them pretty much immediately independent upon hatching, with the ability to run and feed themselves without the help of their parents.

modern DNA analysis suggests that the size of kiwi eggs is not just a left-over trait from ‘incomplete’ evolution, but instead the exact opposite— an evolved adaptation to ensure better chances of survival.

due to their sheer size, kiwi eggs house more yolk than average, which ends up keeping newly hatched kiwis nice and fed until they learn to forage food for themselves.

when mammals began to spread in new zealand, kiwis had way more predators to worry about, and it’s theorized that they were previously unequipped to deal with this startling introduction of land-predators, such as stoats and rats, that started feeding on their eggs.

this could explain why kiwi eggs have developed to be so large over time— they give the chicks plentiful nutrients and thicker shells to ensure a better chance of survival against predation.

so… yeah. kiwis produce monster eggs and no one fully knows why just yet. neat, huh?

and that’s not even where the weirdness ends, my friends!

on top of all of this, it’s been a running joke in the bird world that kiwis are ‘honorary mammals,’ not only because of their weirdly mammalian appearance, but also because of some of their atypical biological traits.

for instance, kiwis have an average body temperature of around 38 degrees celsius .. aka, 100 degrees fahrenheit.

while this is not typical at all for birds, this is very typical for mammals, which has stumped a lot of researchers over the years.

similarly, kiwis are also the only bird in the world with exposed nostrils at the end of their beak, which can help them detect prey by using scent instead of their vision, which is very poor.

so… yeah. kiwis are the nocturnal, freakish little cousins of some of the biggest, most dangerous birds on the planet, and scientists are, quite frankly, still a little weirded out by them.
